Even Wendy’s is mocking the Giants now

When you’re down, people like to punch down. And for the better part of the last decade, criticism and mockery have been reigning down on the New York Giants.

Things have only gotten worse for the Giants over the past calendar year. The organization has become a punchline, often called a “clown show.” They are the butt of every joke.

Such was the case on Wednesday when Wendy’s — yes, the fast food chain — took aim at the Giants and then swung for the fences.

We can all hear Michael Kelso in our heads: Burn!

Now that’s how you handle National Roast Day. Of course, Joe Judge made it on Wendy’s and everyone else that’s taken a potshot at he or the organization of late. Even co-owner John Mara admitted on Wednesday that the Giants are an embarrassment.

“I kept thinking during the season that we had hit rock bottom and then each week it got a little worse. Honestly, I’m not proud of saying this, but if I’m going to be 100 percent honest, I would have to say the answer is yes,” Mara replied when asked if this is the most embarrassed he’s ever been as owner.

Following a season of loss, Wendy’s handed the Giants and their fans one final L.
