Cybersecurity has become an increasingly important topic for tech giants and the government as attacks continue. Ransomware attacks and other security exploits have caused serious issues for Microsoft, Apple, Amazon, and other tech giants. The SolarWinds attack targeted government agencies and several large corporations. Other security issues, such as PrintNightmare vulnerabilities and the Pegasus iPhone hack, also pose serious security threats to major corporations and the government.

Presumably, President Biden will want to discuss these types of issues to see what can be done to shore up security. Security issues, including those highlighted above, affect some of the largest government organizations and major corporations in the United States.

Bloomberg reached out to Apple, Microsoft, Google, Amazon, IBM, JPMorgan Chase, and Southern Company regarding the meeting, but all of them declined to comment. A Southern Company spokesperson also declined to comment to The Verge about the meeting.
